IASTM stands for Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. IASTM is popularized by companies such as RockTape®, HawkGrips®, and Graston® who have developed stainless steel tools with varying contours to adjust to your anatomy.

What Does IASTM Do?

IASTM aims to improve range of motion, increase strength and decrease the perception of pain by increasing blood flow to the area, breaking down adhesions in muscles, tendons and ligaments, and initiating an inflammatory response to aid in the healing process.

IASTM is Commonly Used for the Following Conditions

  • Tennis Elbow
  • Golfer’s Elbow
  • Achilles Tendonitis
  • Neck Pain
  • Patellar Tendonitis
  • IT Band Syndrome
  • Plantar Fasciitis
